Located in Jamesport, the Jedediah Hawkins Inn is a meticulously restored Victorian with six beautifully decorated rooms and a first-class restaurant situated on 22-acres.

Chefs Michael Ross and Tom Schaudel have put together an ambitious and mostly successful menu. They seem to like the new style of doing three different preparations of each ingredient. Thus, there is a trio of tuna, of shrimp, of smoked fish for starters. Main courses are less busy with striped bass, pan-roasted Atlantic halibut and deconstructed beef Burgundy-style quite nice.

The wine list features a good selection of North Fork wines and service is friendly and professional. The Jedediah Hawkins Inn is the place to stay and eat in Long Island wine country.
