East of NYC

Luce + Hawkins is one of those rare restaurants. A historic location, a renowned chef and award-winning cuisine are all converging at this very spot on the north fork of Long Island and if you haven’t taken the trip yet, we don’t know what you are waiting for.

It all began on Long Island when a young Keith Luce was growing up and taking in all that the east end had to offer.  Upon deciding that the culinary profession was his calling, he headed to Manhattan to train at some of the most revered restaurants in the nation (Rainbow Room and Le Cirque, etc.). A trip around the world led him back to his roots to bring his world class training and cuisine back home, to the north fork in Jamesport. A James Beard Award Winner, Keith is raising the bar at this restaurant located within a historic landmark mansion that now serves as the Jedediah Hawkins Inn. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive for this masterpiece with a seasonal menu and chef who is truly innovating.

As of now the Inn boasts 6 Victorian rooms for the general public to stay. They’re currently renovating the barn in the back of the Inn to house another 8-rooms, boosting capacity by over 100%. If you happen to visit Luce + Hawkins, you can see the master at work through the glass doors leading into the kitchen. Open for lunch and dinner daily, the seasonal cuisine is hand-picked by Keith and the options range from comfort to upscale, and everything in between.
